My new home!
Well, I took another step forward into adulthood by purchasing a condo! Here's a glimpse at the new place located in Overland Park, Kansas....please feel free to come visit me (and see the condo) anytime!
A Glimpse of the Summer...(thus far)...
This summer has been filled with a grad class, hanging out (aka babysitting) with my friend Joachim, spending time with family and friends in Lawrence--Kansas City--St. Louis, moving to KC, and getting ready for my first year of teaching....so here's a pictorial glimpse of my summer!

It Just Comes Natural....
I knew that I could not spend time looking for this book! I would just stumble across it naturally, at the right moment....with that said, it is funny how life works. I just drove home from school. I wasn't going to stop by the house, but I wanted to check something in the mail. So I did. Then I wasn't going to check my email, but then I decided to...
Today is my marathon day....teaching, grad class, and RCIA...so since I had decided to check my mail(s), I also decided to grab a bite to eat...nothing sounded appealing, so I fixed myself a class of chocolate milk. As I was standing there, enjoying this divine drink, I quickly thought back to when the Davis girls were in St. Louis and we spoke of chocolate milk and cherrios...I did not try this fine treat at that time, but today in a moment's discernment, I decided, "hey I need to eat something," so why not pour some cheerios into my cup!?! But what resided just to the right of the cherrios? Nothing other than toasted rice (aka chex)....So I decided, hey that would be good and grabbed the box. I noticed that it felt full (when I knew it should not have been), but it sure did not feel heavy like a book could be living there! I then proceeded to open the box and noticed a ziploc bag of chex there. I just figured Jessica must have combined two boxes... But then, as I was pulling out the bag, it crossed my mind, and there it was....

the funny thing is that I hardly eat chex,
I only have it to make puppy chow! (ha ha!)
and the rest is history....until its in your paws....

Ladies,
Though I am slightly appalled by the lack of respect for this best selling smorgasbord of courageous canine stories, I will still play along in this little game. I have attached my ransom note to this document. If the ransom amount is not in my paws by midnight Tuesday, I plan to tear your precious Dog Stories to shreds like it is another one of my quails.
If you plan to examine the note for clues, I will inform you that yes, I am wearing a Kerri Strug t-shirt and it will self-destruct like the notes in Inspector Gadget.

The hunt....
ok, so hopefully you received a collage of evidence that I went on the hunt, but here is where the true fun begins! I think these clips are worth more than actually finding the book! So here's some entertainment until the discovery is made!

3/25 -- 1:37pm jenni and jessica devise a plan via convo and email to gift the book to me -- this
was done as I was distracted by conversation on the tele
-- 3:32pm to their misfortune, the book pops out of the bookshelf as Lauren
unexpectanctly glances around her room and notices the treasure
-- 6:46pm Jenni is in Lauren's room.......solo
-- 7:47pm upon arriving back to her apartment, Lauren goes to her room, and again notices
that the book is gone!
so...................the DOG STORIES is officially missing....it is either in Madame Bence's hands or stashed away in the apartment of Grandma Dirn...so beware, the book could be gifted to you at any unknown momentuntil more information is disclosed....or until Dirn goes searching...

the suspense is killing me. i feel like a little kid on easter morning just waiting to find the most conspicuously hidden egg! I will find it...but i must also practice my virtue of prudence and do my work...my mind is spinning...is it here, is it there? does jenni have it in her possession only hoping that i turn my house upside down for this missing treasure...two only know....so at this point, i must be patient, and press on....for i will only come upon it naturally, or at least until i find a second to spare to go on a scavenger hunt....until then, life is a journey, and will continue to be! cheers to excitement and to the next chapter of this saga....
